Challenge Record - GWC and Rainbow Reads (updated for 2014)

Nb: I didn't get very far at all with any of my challenges last year.  In fact, out of all the books for GWC and Rainbow Reads, I only actually read one! (Sigh)  (That was The Interrogation of Ashala Wolf, by Ambelin Kwaymullina - a Palyku woman from Australia, and it was one of my stand-out books of the year.)

So, with that one replaced (with the second book in Kwaymullina's series, which came out last year, here are my personal challenges in these areas for 2014.  (MD Brady isn't officially running the GWC challenge, so it can join rainbow reads as an unofficial challenge of my own.)

Global Women of Colo(u)r

M D Brady is running the Global Women of Colo(u)r challenge for 2013, and I've signed up for the "Structured" challenge, which involves:

reading (and reviewing) ten books by Global Women of Color, six of them from six different continents or regions.

Rainbow Reads

My Rainbow Reads are ten books by LGBTQQI writers "of colour".  In other words, not white, not Anglo-European authors who identify in some way as "not straight".
